On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink.

So I walked into Brandy Melville, saw this shirt, chuckled, but decided not to buy it. I don't really like how muscle tanks look on me, and although the quote was GOLDEN and just calling my name, I decided against it.

Then I went to Brandy a week later or so, and I realized that I needed this tank in my life.

Why? Because I can quote Mean Girls like a pastor can quote the Bible. In fact, Mean Girls is my Bible.

Anyhow, I've gotten a few variations of these comments from this tank:

  • Oh my gosh I love that shirt.
  • I need that shirt in my life.
  • I saw that at Brandy and I thought of you!
  • I can't believe you actually got that.
  • You.. can't.. sit with us? That's rude.
  • You.. can't.. sit with us? Oh I get it, because you're cool, oh I like that.
Yeah, those last two have come up more often than you'd think; who HASN'T watched Mean Girls

I feel like that movie has just recently gotten super quotable on tumblr and just everyday phrases in general, which is weird to me because the movie is old.. but perhaps it's just the fact that our generation is accepting rude satire mixed with Lindsey Lohan and labeling it as hilarious. Who knows!

Either way, this tank is only $20 at Brandy, and if you're an avid fan of the movie, you'll definitely want to purchase it.

Wrapped Up in Vegas

"are you free sunday night?"
"uhhh i can be.. why?"
"let's hang out. i'll give you an incentive. my show that i work on is having a wrap party, meaning celebrities and an open bar. and if we're lucky, dennis quaid will be drunk and performing with the band. come with?"
"...ok"

My friend from high school, who I have flaked on every chance I have for lunch, works on the set of "Vegas" on CBS, a show I've never even heard of. But I thought, "What the hell, yolo?"

It wasn't too bad: middle aged folk who were mildly talking shit on some producer or supervisor whom they hated, while sharing a drink with them a few minutes later; the bartenders pouring way more alcohol in these mixed drinks than we did sneaking around in high school; craps and poker tables that allowed everyone but me to win.

And yes, Dennis Quaid did perform. He's wild.
My friend would NOT allow me to go up to him and say, "I LOVED your work in The Parent Trap. Do you still talk to Lindsey?"

Anyway, after some drinks and telling these people that I was an escort service just here for the night, we decided to use the set, that was brightly lit for the night, and take some pictures. Enjoy!

Waste(land)-d Time Not Studying for a Sample Sale.

Late post!
Distracting myself from studying for finals.
Brought a book to the sale to pass time as we waited in line.
The turn up was alright; I'm a horrible shopper under pressure.
Bought some different and interesting items that I'll hopefully be wearing soon enough; I'll post them later.

Anyhow, twas a fun day with my homegirl, and we ran into a few friends there!

Muscle Tank - UNIF
Velvet Leggings - Roommate
Beanie - RADisRAD
Doc Martens

Couldn't decide on that beanie, so I had to take two pictures.
Yolo.

Spring has Sprung!

A quick update on my life as of now:

-Daylight savings is as pleasant as a root canal.

I'm definitely going to switch the direction of my blog around spring break, once I have time to fully devote myself into the craft, but in the mean time, hey!

Spring has sprung, and although I've got finals on finals on papers on coffee on dance, I love the weather that spring brings!
Hopefully everyone is spending their time wisely doing whatever they need to do; I thoroughly advocate time management. However, if you don't feel good, try to look good and slap a smile on your face.

Spring cleaning, to me, really means, "Hey! Let's look through your closet and find some stuff you haven't worn in a while!"
With that being said, I found a nice floral chiffon button up from Brandy Melville that hasn't been worn in a long while, and the floral paired with my usual black on black on black really brings a nice look that I like to call "Garden of Black Petunias."

Haha, anyway, have a good week!

No Parking at Any Time.

Just hanging out with a friend who is an amazing photographer is never "just hanging out".
My new photography man friend and I went on a little adventure around campus, as I showed him the cool and artsy secret locations, as he messed around with his new fixed lens.
I hate the fixed lens because it's a bitch to take pictures with and it's super close up. For these pictures, he was about 40 feet away.

Anyway, this is my outfit the day after a 7 page paper was written as well as a 10am to 6pm class schedule was endured, followed by practice from 8pm to 1:30am.

I guess I wear a lot of black, black, and black. With a hint of black. And maybe some white. But mostly black.
